It’s a time of great change at the Isle of May. The cliff-dwelling birds have left, a few puffins will remain into late July (or even the first few days of August) and it’s the season for migrating birds, waders and seals to visit the isle. It’s a time to marvel at the rich and varied history.

This scenic 6-hour day tour sails around the Bass Rock where gannets are busy attending to their ‘guga’ chicks and then to the Isle of May where you land for 3 hours.

Watch the sun go down behind one of the the World’s largest northern gannet colonies at the Bass Rock. The birds are resting.

The birthplace of modern geology theory sits in rocks near Dunbar. Unique rock formations are exposed on the cliffs at Siccar Point, where from the 1760s James Hutton conceived the theories revealing the age of planet Earth.

A great grey seal colony!

An exploratory tour where we watch the massed clusters of adult seals and search for the first seal pups of the season. See over 3000 grey seals as they gather to give birth at one of the UK’s largest colonies.

See one of the largest seabird in the Northern Hemisphere, where over 100,000 gannets form one of the World’s largest colonies. The Bass Rock. Dramatic. 340 Million years old. An ancient volcanic formation rising 100 metres from sea level. You’ll see puffins between April and July and razorbills, shags, and guillemots. At various times in summer and if you’re lucky, you may be on board just as dolphins or whales are passing.

Sunlight – camera – action! We take you to the early morning light as the sun rises from the East over the North Sea. You have your camera poised. Gannets, Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins supply the action.
